About Sara & Sam

Sara McCormick & Sam Moore are the husband and wife team that make up McCormick & Moore Photography. They are high school sweethearts and started photographing weddings and portrait sessions while still in college. Now, years later, their focus is on family, pets included. They have a strong belief that family is not just made up of two-legged souls, but also four-legged souls as well.

Sara first started photographing pets and their people when she worked at a local animal rescue, managing fundraisers and marketing. She has been in the trenches and seen first hand how the efforts of a few people, along with a whole bunch of love, can change the lives of homeless animals. She now uses her marketing and graphic design skills to help other photographers grow their business, but she still strives to help cats and dogs looking for their forever homes. She donates her photography skills to many local animal rescues and is a photographer for the SPCA of Wake County.

We also photograph and run charity events for local animal rescues, including our annual Pet Pics with St. Nick fundraiser that raises thousands of dollars to save the lives of homeless animals. To date, we’ve estimated that we’ve photographed over 1,000 adoptable cats and dogs in our local area.
